It starts every time, runs strong, and tracks straight at 75 mph. It recently completed a several-hundred-mile road trip without any issues.

We have a 1977 Scout II 4x4 Manual project available for sale.  New wheels, tires, hubs, and several items (brake lines/hoses, front disc brakes, etc.,  still in boxes) bought from Anything Scout a few years ago. Time and schedules didnt work out so we are letting it go. The original 304 is seized but we have Chevy 307 ready to go in, included in price. All glass intact. Standard rust issues but nothing thats keeping it from getting on the road.

This 1975 Scout was my brother's dream project. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly. Now, I just want to see it go to someone who will build the 4X4 he always dreamed of, while helping my mom with the costs of taking care of his affairs. The Scout was running when he started working on it, and it has the 304 engine and all the parts [as far as I know]. It has surface rust, but good bones and a straight body. The gentleman who purchased it traded his 1970 800a in for this 71 800b comanche, the chassis number is G4450XX making it one of the very last ones built! last known comanche was G445187 which is very very close considering the sequential numbers were shared with all other ih models produced, not just scouts.

1974 International Scout

1979 Scout - Leftover Parts

Since 37 years in the family is this Scout 800 that has been converted to a BMW six cylinder turbodiesel with automatic ZF transmission. Originally from San Bernardino California it has never suffered bad weather conditions or being used in the winter. Exceptional original body condition. Before converting it to the reliable and economical BMW turbodiesel I had for 20 years a 530 hp 406 Chevy in it and participated in a lot of 1/8 mile races. The last eight years I've been using it with an intercooled BMW with just 35,000 miles on it.  It works perfectly with the ZF4 HP 22 transmission, has 150 hp on the dyno and being almost 200 kg lighter than the international drivetrain, it convinces with a pleasant driving experience. This 1970 International Harvester Scout 800 is finished in two-tone silver and blue over a blue vinyl interior and is equipped with a removable roof, a roof rack, a roll cage, fog lamps, and a digital media receiver. Power is provided by a rebuilt I6 engine mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

The truck underwent a repaint in Aristocrat-style silver with blue accents under previous ownership. The removable traveltop features sliding side windows and a stainless-steel roof rack and is underpinned by a full roll cage. Other equipment includes “Aristocrat” fender badges, Hella fog lamps, dual mirrors, a rear step bumper, and a ball hitch.

The truck rides on BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires wrapped around 15" rally-style chrome wheels.

The engine underwent a rebuild back in 2016 along with multiple other items getting replaced. 

It was purchased off Bring A Trailer back in 2021 (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-international-harvester-scout-800-aristocrat/) and simply doesn't get used as much as it should, so it's time for the next owner. 1970 Scout 800

This is a one-owner 1978 Scout II, V345 gas engine, 4-speed, 4x4. Purchased new by my dad in 1978, which he gifted to me in 2016. It’s been well maintained in original/highly original condition, with only 117,407 miles on the original engine. Since 2016 it’s had a carburetor rebuild (on the original carburetor), fuel pump replaced, fan clutch replaced, fuel pump gasket and valve cover gaskets replaced, fuel gauge sending unit replaced, a new power steering fluid line, and a new gas throttle cable (the one connecting the accelerator pedal). I also replaced the battery about six months ago. It’s been repainted twice over its lifetime to match the original factory color. 

Rust issues are minimal. It’s had some body work in its history but nothing major—my dad has always been one to get on top of issues before they get serious. It had some rust removed/body work back in the late 1980s the first time it was repainted.  And then some minor work again when repainted in the 2005-2010 timeframe. (See last set of photos in the posting for those areas.)

It spent the first 12 years of its life in Hawaii, and around 1990 was shipped back to the west coast where I used it for a few years in Washington. It was then kept in central Oregon and garaged until 2016, when I acquired it. The interior was re-upholstered a number of years ago to match the original and is still in like-new condition. Other than the first decade or so of its life, it also hasn’t had much off-road use. Mostly driven for commuting and city/highway driving. Thanks for looking!
