Since 37 years in the family is this Scout 800 that has been converted to a BMW six cylinder turbodiesel with automatic ZF transmission. Originally from San Bernardino California it has never suffered bad weather conditions or being used in the winter. Exceptional original body condition. Before converting it to the reliable and economical BMW turbodiesel I had for 20 years a 530 hp 406 Chevy in it and participated in a lot of 1/8 mile races. The last eight years I've been using it with an intercooled BMW with just 35,000 miles on it. It works perfectly with the ZF4 HP 22 transmission, has 150 hp on the dyno and being almost 200 kg lighter than the international drivetrain, it convinces with a pleasant driving experience.
